I met Barry White the summer before he died in the Amsterdam airport. He was not very sociable and he had some big body guards that were not very friendly either. He gave short answers and overall probably found us to be a bother. Like his music but wish he would have been more friendly.
I went to Texas to visit my sister and we went to one of his church plants where he just happened to be preaching at that morning. Since I am the children’s director at my church I asked the children’s director their to give me a tour of her ministry. While I was walking around with her Max Lucado came out. The children’s director left to go give me her card and I got to chat with Max Lucado. He was very genuine and down to earth.
